Letters from folks about the 2007 show:

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Mike Raahauge:

I attended the Shooting Fair on June 2 with my husband, son-in-law and six-year-old grandson. We had such a great day there!

It was my first time to attend and to ever even touch a gun. I shot a 44 pistol, a 12-gauge shotgun and a great 22 with a marvelous scope on it!

Let me tell you how important yesterday was in my life. I was so afraid of guns and those great women at the first-timer's booth were great and so supportive! It was because of them that I forged ahead! They were right. Jeff helped me from square one and had me check anbd load the 44 with great patience!! Thank you!!! I safely shot the shotgun with the same safety training. My shoulder was fine! I will be taking the gun safety class in July.

My job at Bass Pro Shops will demand this knowledge. Thank You!!!

P.S. I even caught a carp in the catfish pool while fishing with my grandson! What a Blast!!!

Mike,

Had a great time, once again, at your June Sports Fair. Last year's was overwhelming and I thought could not be topped, but this year's was even better. Again, a large number of manufacturers. I appreciate the way each event is different. Last year's was pistols. This year was a good mix. Always making it something to look forward to.

Slight let-down without the HK MP5 autos, but I really did not expect this to show up in California, so was not too heartbroken.

Every booth was supported with good, helpful and knowledgeable representatives. Every year, there are special deals. Last year Glock, this year, Beretta, etc. Luckily for me, I came prepared this time and with Jim Ferry's (Beretta rep) help, purchased a new 40SW P4 Storm. The quick pistol shoot by Todd Jarrett of Para USA was very good. With humor, excellent demonstration and a touch of humility, I actually learned something. Proved by how many showed up to meet him after his show.

My friends and I look forward to next year and will probably make this an annual event as long as you have it.

Thanks.

Mr. Raahauge,

I took my 10-year-old son to your excellent facility last weekend for his first Shooting Sports Fair. I was impressed with the preparation and execution of this event. My son fired his first shotgun, rifle and revolvers at this event and he took to it like a duck takes to water! While his shoulder was a bit sore when we left, as we drove out of the parking lot, he asked it we can come back for next year's event.

All the vendors were very polite and helpful, providing tips and pointers so we could maximize the day's events. The shooting and dog exhibitions were nothing short of amazing.

Thank you, your staff, Turner's and all others involved who made this event the BEST event of it's kind!

Keith
